Lesson 19 notes

Long overdue, hence forgotten all the detail, but we covered:

Inverting a Drop 2 minor 7 (putting the top string note in the bass) of the form: xx2433 to 3x243x gives a Major 6 chord?

A Diminished 7 chord can be derived from a Dom 7 by raising the root a semitone, e.g. xx5767 to xx6767.

Hence, a dim scale can be played over a Dom 7 and gives some weird sound.

Learned some Drop 3 voicings to complement Drop 2s.

Talked about the Minor I vi ii V a bit.

The Nat King Cole song ‘Bese mi mucho’ uses that progression
