About

Hello. This is my about page. This blog was started mainly to keep a record of what I’d learned during my newly-undertaken lessons with a jazz guitar teacher, but has become more or less a documentation of all the inane minutiae to do with the guitar that crosses my mind – playing, players, gear, etc. etc. etc.

    • Please help us launch the bean bag guitar stand by posting this link: https://youtu.be/tqimqLNH8LU

SAFEGUARD bean bag guitar stand was designed to prevent guitars from sliding off of tables, amplifiers, etc. The video is entertaining, but the solution is real.

      Thanks for your help.

  2. Hi,

I’m inquiring about your web site (https://gitbuddy.wordpress.com/)

My name’s Kathrina (from Elmore-Music.com) and we provide online guitar lessons for users with a subscriber base of just under 250,000 people now.

The reason for this email is to see if you’d be interested in doing something together here.

If you’d be willing to tell your audience about our web site (either a banner or text link or email link) … we’d be willing to do the same by inserting a short advert about your web site which will be read by all our subscribers and drive targeted quality traffic to your site on an on-going basis.

If you’re interested, let me know because I’d love to work with you to make a positive difference together.

    If not … no problem.

Thank you for your time in advance and I look forward to hearing from you soon : )

    Warm Regards,

    Kathrina

  3. Thanks but no thanks. Not interested in commercialzing this space.

  5. Hello,

Regarding your article titled “Los Angeles – Guitar Center – Rockwalk”

    https://gitbuddy.wordpress.com/2009/11/20/los-angeles-guitar-center-rockwalk/

An information is missing to figure out more accurately :
What is the length of YOUR hand? (from the wrist to the tip of the middle finger).

I am collecting data about guitar and hand size. Thanks for your answer.

    Have a nice day.

  8. Hi Buddy.

We will be having a concert featuring Adam Rafferty on December 9 at SCAPE Warehouse where net proceeds will go to Singapore Children’s Society.

Would it be possible to get assistance from you in promoting the event like sending concert info to your contact list and posting an entry to your blog?

Please do let me know if this is possible.

    Regards,

    Raymond

  9. Hi Buddy,

We just wanted to reach out to the guitarist community and let you know about our new Guitar Facebook app, with 5 free tracks to try it out!

We recently launched our Guitar By PureSolo Facebook App (http://apps.facebook.com/guitar-by-puresolo/) where users can record audio and video over professionally produced guitar and bass backing tracks. Each downloaded track comes complete with on-screen guitar tab and we’ve got tracks by Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Green Day, Dire Straits and many more. Once recorded, users can mix and then share their recordings via Twitter and Facebook or upload them straight to YouTube.

You can check out some of the great guitar covers recorded by our users on the Guitar By PureSolo YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/GuitarByPuresolo) and “Like” the Facebook page to stay up to date about all things guitar, including news, tutorials and PureSolo guitar content (http://www.facebook.com/GuitarByPureSolo).

We’d love for you to check it out and share it with your friends and community on your guitar blog!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

    Thanks!

    Viv

  10. Hi Buddy,

I run a guitar scales website called playguitarscalesnow.com that is designed to help beginners understand guitar scales and how to use them in their playing. I’ve had a look at your site and I like what you have up.
Would you be interested in doing a bit of cross promotion and swapping a guest blog post with me? I could write you an article on guitar scales and I’m sure my readers would be interested in your content and site. I would also promote your post to my 500+ Facebook likes and 1400+ twitter followers.
Let me know if you’d be interested?

  11. Hi there-

I’m interested in writing a blog post for your site, free of charge. Feel free to check out my blog at http://www.BoldMusicLessons.com to see examples of my writing.

  12. Would you please provide an email address so we can send something about music in schools, which will not fit in this little box? Thank you very much!

  13. Thought you might be interested in a new invention for guitar players. It’s called The G’Day Stand and it’s a flat packing guitar stand – folds flat and fits perfectly in the guitar case for easy transport. As a former guitar player, I never took my guitar anywhere without it being in the case. However, I never took my stand along because it was too much hassle to disassemble and carry. Just had to make do with standing it up against a wall or putting it back in the case – sometimes with disastrous results (accidentally kicked, slid off the wall, etc.) The G’Day Stand solves this dilemma….and it doubles as a music stand!

Please check it out at http://www.kytollc.com and I would really appreciate you posting it on your blog. Thanks in advance!

  21. Hello Gitbuddy,

You have a fun guitar blog. I thought you might be interested in an eBook I’ve written about Boutique Guitar Amplifiers. It spells out the advantages Boutique Amps bring to the table compared to mass produced guitar amplifiers. I think you would find it a useful piece of info to share. It’s not a commercial piece, more general, fun and educational.

Here is a link to the PDF to check out:
